It’s funny, I’ve always thought that the main thing in rentals is the price. Well, I still think that. But the point of this is that there are indeed other factors. Odor is one of those. There are even more, but odor is the one I’ll focus on for now.
When someone is living in a property, rental or for sale – they have distinct habits, eating paterns, cleaning disciplines, and other general lifestyle behaviors. Believe it or not, we all have somewhat different qualities like the ones I’ve described. So it should come as no surprise when others do not find appealing, or even in a worst case scenario are disgusted, by the qualities that another lives by.
When showing property odor is one of these lifestyle characteristics that can cause people to have strong opinions. So be it deodorant, yellow curry, popcorn, or perfume – get rid of it before your rental listing ends up in the tomb.
